Another piece for my Aunt's charity. (Guideposts Trust in England) This piece was very fluid and went quickly. I am very happy with the color pallette and will probably use it again. This is a small format watercolor (8" x 10"). Really feeling more comfortable with the paints. But not getting as many pieces done as I would like to. Only one a year is pretty bad! Better get back to work on some more. Thanks for looking.

Here is the companion piece to my last entry. Watercolor 10 x 14. I had fun painting the hedgehogs and might attempt some other "cute and furry" animals for my next pieces. Don't have any on the table yet so I better go get some inspiration! Thanks for checking out my art. Will try to get some more up sooner than later!

As usual it has been too long since my last post. But here is the latest for your enjoyment. This is the second Christmas card attempt for my aunt's charity. "Waiting" apparently did very well. Small format again (approximately 6 x 8) and in watercolor. Hopefully I won't be up on any copyright infringement charges! The companion piece to this one will hopefully be coming in a few months. Stay tuned!

Here is the latest! Had fun designing this one. As usual, it didn't quite get to where I wanted it to go but I am happy with the final result. Surprisingly, this is the first piece I prefer to see the hard copy of rather than digitally. It is still a learning process. I am sure it always will be. Done in watercolor again, the size is approximately 13 x 17. And yes, I did mean for the feet to look like that. (Jason has been harrassing me about them!) Enjoy! Now on to the next piece!

Wow. It has been too long. But back in the swing of things again. This is a small watercolor (8x10) so I "finished" it rather quickly. My aunt and cousin work for a charity in England and asked me to do a Christmas card for them. Not sure if this will be used but I really like the way it turned out. I stayed with a very traditional approach to the medium with just a hint of my own style. So this is probably the most mainstream imagery you will see from me. .....but then who knows. I really enjoyed it. (Although I am still pretty bad at posting corrected imagery so take the color/contrast with a grain of salt.)
